THE KAIPARA SEAT

A MEETING of the Election Committees of Mr J. G. Coates, M.P., was held at Dargaville on Saturday. There were representatives present from all parts of the Kaipara electorate. Mr Coates declared that he would contest the seat as a supporter of the present Government, with reservations, and the statement was received with enthusiastic approval.

An Executive Committee of thirteen was appointed to further Mr Coate's candidature, and was empowered to add to its number by appointing one delegate from each committee in the electorate. Mr C. J. Carrington was appointed chairman, and Mr P. Uren secretary.
