ELECTION FUN STARTS

An amusing incident occcurred at Arapohue Show recently, when the three probable candidates for Kaipara were on the same platform during the inevitable concert in the evening. Mill. Hoe came first with a recitation, followed by Mr A. E. Harding, with another recitation ; and then Mr Gordon Coates started to work in a nice little political speech, saying that he had just returned from Waiuku, where Mr Massey had started a railway in his own constituency, at the same time reducing the voie for the North Auckland Line from £80,000 to £60000, Mr Coates said he did not know what to do about it, when a cockatoo farmer ejaculated, "Put Massey oui!" bringjng applause not quite expected.
