Market Produce.

Mr J. Jones, reports :—

Poultry came forward in large supply to a better market than what has been ruling for some weeks. Good, co nditioned birds are well competed for. A great number of chickens, also poor co nditioned birds are coming in which are not meeting with a strong demand, cnickens especially are ruling low.

Butter and eggs are firmer. Potatoes are steady. Fruit has increased in supply this week, and prices have ruled low. B.C. pears andjapples are in very heavy supply. Pigs are wanted. We quote :—Poultry, hens, good, Is lOd to 2s 2d ; others Is 6d to Is 8d ; poor Is 4d to Is sd. Ducks Is 4d to 2s 3d, Roosters good, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; others 2s 6d to 3s Cockerels, Is 3d to Is lOd. Chickens 6d to 7d. Turkeys, gobblers, 10s to 16s 9d Hens 4s to 6s 6d.
