At Westfield Yards, on Wednesday, fat cattle were penned in average numbers, and prices a shade easier than last week, best oxen selling to 29s 6d per 100 lbs. others 25s to 28s, cows and heifers 23s to 27s 6d. Steers bold at from £7 10s to £13, cows and heifers £4 to £8 15s, Veal came forward in largo supply, and sold at lower rates. Heavy vealers sold, at from £3 15s to £4 os, medium weights £2 10s to £3 7s lighter £1 10s to £2 Bs, small 20s to 28s smaller and fresh dropped 3s to 15s. Sheep were penned in average numbers and sold at lower rates, best wethers selling at from 17s 9d to £l Is 9d, others 15s 9d to 17s 6d, ewes, extra heavy 16s 3d to 17s 9d, others 10s 6d to 15s 9d. Lambs yarded in full numbers, and advanced in prices, sell ing at from 15s 6d to 19s 6d for best quality, others 10s 6d to 15s 3d, store lamb? 8s 3d to 10s 3d. Pigs were yarded in extra large numbers, and sold at lowei rates, baconers selling at from £2 8d to £2 12s 6d, large porkera 33s to £2 ss, porkers 2os 325, slips 15s to 225. weaners 8a 6d to 12s.

The NewZcalandLoanand MercanAgency Company, Ltd., report: — •At Westfield Yards dairy and store cattle were yarded in average numbers aod prices were the same as late quotations. Best cows and heifers close to profit sold at from £8 to £9 12s 9d, others £4 5s to £7 7s 6d. empty cows £3 3s to £4 4s, calvos 20s to 38s.

At Albeit Yards horses came forward in usual numbers, and sold at late rates. Heavy .draught horses sold at from £28 to £33 '10s, medium draught £18 to £26, light harness horses £12 to £14 10s, hacks £3 10s to £14, ponies 30s to £5.

At Waiuku Yards we held our usual monthly sale. There "was a smaller yaiding than usual and prices were the same as lete rates.
