At Westfield Yards on Wednesday, fat cattle were yarded in average numbers, most of them being of excellont quality. Prices wore on a par with lasl week's rates, best oxen selling to 21s, other? 27s to 30s per 1001b. Steers sold at from L 8 10s to Ll 3 10 ; cows ( and heifers, L 4 10s to L 8 15s. Calves were penned in average supply and sold at late rates. Heavy vealers sold to L 3 18s ; medium-weight, L 2 2s to L 3 os ; others, Ll os to 38s; lighter sous, 13s to 20s ; smaller and freshdropped, 3s to 10s.
Shoep came forward in average numbers and sold under steady competition at last week's rates. Best wethers sold at from Ll 6s 9d to Ll 3s 6d, otheis 18s to Ll Is Gd, ew.es, 17s (id to Ll Is; hoggets, 14s Gd to 18s 9d. Lambs, sold at from 15s 6d to 19s ; others, 10s 6d to los 3d.
Pigs came forward in less number than usual, and showed an improvement in price. Eaooners, L 2 8s to L' 2 16s ; large porkers, L2toL 2 7s ; porkois, Li (is to 37g. No slips or weavers yarded.
