A pleasant little function took place at Stewart Bros' store on Saturday evening, when the staff assembled to tender their good wishes to Miss Mary Hunter, who has been in the drapery department for the past seven years, and left her position on Saturday by reason of her approaching marriage. The good service rendered the firm by Miss Hunter, also her friendly relations with the Staff and the courteous and obliging manner in which she carried out her duties, was ably set forth by Mr Jas. Stewart in the course of a speech, remarks which were also supported by Mr W. Allan. As a token of the esteem in which she is held by the Staff Miss Hunter was the recipient of a handsome silver mounted sugar scoop and tongs, a silver mounted umbrella andatoilet service. Hearty felicitations from all present and best wishes for her future were also extended to Miss Hunter. The presentations were from the Staff and proprietary, and were made #y Mr Jas. Stewart.
The marriage of Miss Mary Hunter to Mr Clifford Reginald LeGrice was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Helensville, this morning.
