At Westfield yards on Wednesday, fat cattle were yarded ih average numbers, and although bidding was irregular, last week's quotations were realised. Best oxen sold to 33s per 100 lb, others 28s to 31s ; cows and heifers, Ll 10s to L 8 17s 6d. Veal calves'came forward in good supply, and again seld at high rates. Heavy vealers sold to L 4 lOs to L 8 17s 6d, Veal calves came i'orwaid in good Bapply, and again sold at high, rates. Heavy voalers sold to L 4 10s, medium weights L 2 10s to L 3 18s, others '26s to L 2 8s ; lighter and freshdropped 4s to 20s. Sheep came forward in less numbers than usual, and sold at late rates. Best wethers sold at from Ll 8s 9d to Ll 12s 9d, others Li Is to Ll 7s Gd ; ewes, Ll to Ll 6s 6d ; hoggets, 17s 3d to 19s 9d ; spring lambs, los Gd to 19s 9d.
Pigs were yarded in average supply, and sold at last week's rates. Bacon-, ers Ls to L 3 los, porkers L 2 to L 2 12s 6d, slips 20» to 28s, weaners 12s to »9s.
