At Westfield yards on "Wednesday, beef was yarded in full numbers and mostly first-class quality. Competition was keon, aud sales were made at, improved rates, cows and heifers Ll 7s 6d to oOs ; steors from Messrs K. aud W. (Mian averaged Ll4 13s Gd. Veal calves were penned in larger supply T,hau usual, and sold at fully lato ratos. No heavy-weights were yarded. Medium-weights made L 2 15s Lo Lo 15s, others L 2 to L 2 12s Gd small 20s to 3Ss, fresh-dropped 3s to 15s.
Sheep were yarded in full numbers, and sold at fully last week's rates. Best heifers made 29s 6d to 33s 9d, others 20s to 28s 3d, heavy owes 22s Gd to 2.5s 3d, others 18s 6d to 21s dd ; hoggets, best, 20s 9d to 30s. Pigs came forward in short supply, and sold at advanced rates, porkers L 2 os to L 2 18s, slips Ll 5s to 30s, weaners lfis to 30s each.
