Sabbath Reform.
THE GENUINE AND THE COUNTERFEIT. TO THE EDITOR. '
Sir. —I thank you for allowing space for this Bible study, as it will serve to more fully convince your readers, that what has already been presented on this subject is the truth. Just before the second coming of Christ, see Rev. 14, 14, the last message of mercy and warning' is due to the world. We read, "if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark,'in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, and be cast into the lake of fire." Rev. 14, 9, Rev. 20, 15. A description of the beast is given in Rev. .13,: 1-7. The Prophet Daniel in vision, saw this beast over 2,000 years ago, and was told it would " make war with the saints, speak great words against the Most High, and think ,to change the law of God," Dan. 7, 21, 25, R.V. One church acknowledges the changing of the Sabbath to be her work, and claims that the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters The United States of America sets the lead with support of the Lord's Day Alliance, and is followed by Australia, and other countries including New Zealand, and will soon reach every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. Great numbers will continue keeping the false Sunday-Sabbath, and so perish. A few will honour God by keeping the true Sabbath, for it is said of them them that they I "keep the commandments of God," verse 12. The "' harvest of the earth " being ripe, the King of Kings will be seen coming in the clouds," verse 14. The message is for all people, and among those making no profession of Christianity are some who are nearer the kingdom of God than is generally supposed; they hate the Bible, and no wonder, for to them it has been grossly interpreted. This outline leaves out many particulars, but the great solemnity of the subject should arouse every one to make full and speedy preparation. If any of your readers wisri details of any point touched upon, I shall be very glad to give them. " Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life." I am, etc., 14-7-13. OX [We have had to excise a portion of this letter, as we cannot allow direct attacks upon any particular church without that church being a party to the controversy. If our correspondent Wishes to criticise the work of the Lord's Day Alliance, we have no objection; but the fact that no one has written in reply may be taken to mean, that the arguments advanced on Sabbath Reform are unanswerable, and that our correspondent has now satisfactorily explained the position.
