Shooting.
Owing to the inclemency of the weather, neither side had a full muster at the Helensville-Te Pua match on Saturday. The match had to be fired indoors, in rather a bad light ; consequentty haidly any of the boys did themselves justice—with fche exception of E, Eames, who shot as well as ever. By mutual consent, V. Aitkenhead shot for Te Pua, bringing the number up to six each, Up to a certain point the scores were very even, and HeL* ensville finished 13 to the good. Following are the scores, the Hazard target heing placed first (Maximum for each target 32) :—
