New Zealand. Loan & Mercantile Co report: — At Westfield yards on Wednesday, fat cattle were yarded in less numbers than usual, and prices advanced from 15s to 20s per head on the previous week. Best oxen sold to 32s par 1001b ; others, 27a to 80s; cows and heifers, 23s to 28s per 1001b ; steers sold at from L 7 15s to Ll3 12s 6d ; cows and heifers, L 4 15s to LlO 15s, Veal calves came forward in short requirement, aud again sold well. Heavy-weights, Tj3 15s to L.5 17s 6d ; medium weights, Li 5s to L 3 12s ; others, Ll 10s to L 2, lighter sorts, LI to Ll 9s ; smaller and fresh-dropped, 3s to 18s. Sheep were penned in average supply, and advanced in price from 2s to 3s 6(1 per head. Best wethers sold at from 24s 6d to 29s 9d ; others. 2is to 24s 3d ; unfinished, 16s 3d to 19s 9dj heavy ewes, 22s to 25s 9d ; others, 17s to 20s ; inferior fatted, 12s 9d to 16s. Hoggets came forward in full numbers and advanced in price, best selling at from 14s 6d to !9s 6d ; others, 10s to 14s 3d ; stores, 8s to 9s 9d. Pigs wore yarded in usual supply, „ and again sold at high valuos. Baconers sold at from Lo 10s to L 4 19s ; largo porkers, L 2 15s to L3ss ; pork-' ors,L2 10s to L 2 12s.
