Mr J. A. McLean (Dargaville j has been nominated by Messrs J. Brady and G. H. Bellarry for the North Ward seat on the Board of Education. The election takes place on -July. 28, the other candidates being Mr B.C. Pur.de (Whaugarei) and Mr G. VV. Murivy (sitting member).
