KAIPARA RUGBY UNION

At last Union meeting the Secretary was instructed to try and make arrangements for a match at Helensville against Pukekohe. The application of Helensville Club for a rehearing in reference to the Union's decision for a replay of the Waimauku-Helensville match, was not entertained. With the withdrawal of Kaukapakapa team from the fixtures the Helensville boundary was altered to include Kaukapakapa playors in their district. It is a pity that the Kaukapakapa, Club could not continue to carry on its fixtures. G. Fleming and •H. Mc Bride tiied their hardest to keep the colours flying but have had to give it best. The former bought jerseys and a^football for the club. Parakai (9) v Waimauku (6). The Cup match between the above teams produced a splended contest, the game being of a very even and close order throughout. Neither side attempted much passing, the game being* a forward one right through and both back divisions had plenty of defensive work. The scores were level until about three minutes off the call of time when a try to Parakai by E. McLeod gave that team the victory. The other scorers for Parakai were L. McLeod ana G. McDonald, and tor Waimauku Peritt and Fletcher scored. For tho visitors, who were unlucky to lose, Peritt, Williams and Fletcher we;-e prominent, and for Parakai L, McLeod and G. McDonald did sound work. Mr J. Durand refereed. Railway (6j v Helensville (G). A team of visiting railway employes from Auckland, which included a number of first grade players, gave a capital exhibition against a Helensville team, the manner in which they threw the ball about being greatly admired. The home team were chiefly defending and came through the ordeal well id losing by only 6 points. The play of the visitors was much appreciated by the spectators, and it is honed the Helensville players learned "a few wrinkles " as the result of this fixture. The visiting railwaymen, Avho were accomodated at the Helensville hotel, afterwards sat down to dinner with a number of the Helensville players. A number of toasts were proposed and duly honored with bright little speeches, and the proceedings proved very enjoyable. On Saturday the Helensville and Waimauku teams play their third round <-.up fixture. KAIPARA LEAGUE. The following are the positions of clubs to date : —
