A.t our weekly Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday June 18, our entry of fat cattle totalled 459 head, the bulk being heavy prime bullocks, There was strong demand throughout at prices -which were about 15s head below last week's high rates. Choice ox sold to Ll 14s : prime, Ll lis to Ll 13s ; cows and heifers, Ll 5s to Ll 10s. Steers ranged in price from L 7 10s to Lls 17s 9d; cows and heifers, L 4 5s to Lll 7s 6d, Many consignments of steers averaged be* tween Ll3 15s to Lls ss. There was a full supply of fat and young calves, which realised late quotations. Kun<« ners, to L 5 10s ; heavy suckers, L2Bs j to L 3 6s ; light, Ll 8s to L 2 ; small and fresh dropped, 3b to Ll 3s (98 sold). There was again a heavy yarding of mutton, major portion being prime wethers. Competition was steady, with prices about on a par with last week's rates. Extra heavy prime wethers, to Ll 9s 9d ; heavy prime, Ll 6e to Ll 9s ; medium to heavy, Li 2s to Ll 5s ; light and unfinished 17s to Ll Os 6d ; extra heavy prime ewes, Ll 6s to Ll 9s ; good ewes, 19a to Ll 4s ; others, 12s 6d to 18s (2198 sold). The 410 lambs sold freely at from 16s 6d to 19s (a few small pens of extra good making fromLl Is to Ll 7s 6d) ; good, 14s 6d to 16s ; others, 10s 6d to 13s 6d. Pigs-were penned in large numbers, and met with a brisk sale, ruling high prices being easily sustained.
