School Committee.
The Helensville School .Committee met last night; present- -Messrs Becrof t (chairman), Thompson, Bradly Hammond, ISmitli and Eauies (secretary). Re the question of enlargment of school porch, to provide facilites for teaching the primer class, which tho Departaifint decline to undertake, the Headmaster, Chairiran and Secretary were appointed to interview the Board's Inspector on the matter. The Chairman, as Visiting member for the month, reported that the lavatory arrangements had needed attention, and the contractor had promised to attend to same. The Chairman was authorised to have general repairs, windows, doors, etc, attended to, also the drainage arrangements. Mr Bradly was appointed visiting member for the ensuing month. In reference to the attendance of Te Pua children at the school it was decided to refer the matter to th 6 Headmaster for a report. On. the chairman's motion it was decided to record the committee's appreciation of tho manner in which the Headmaster and staff looked after the children on the occasion of their trip to the EL M. .S. New Zealand.
