ATHLETIC SPORTS MEETING

The annual general meeting of the Helensville, Te Pua and Pa-k----hurst Sports Club was held in the Public Library on Frtday evening last when there was a good attendance, Mr Card in the chair. The minutes of previous general meeting were read and confirmed. It was unanimously resolved that the annual sports meeting be held on the A. and P. Association Ground Jon Easter Monday, March 24. OFFICIALS. The following were elected for the ensuing year: Patrons: Mr J. G. Coates, M.P., Mr Jas. McLeod. President, Mr E. H. Cucksey. Vice-presidents, about 20 businessmen and wellwishers. Handicapper, Mr Frank Burbush. Handicappers for local events,. Messrs W. Ellett, J. Downer and W. Rimmer. Judges, J. A. Wilson and W. Channon. Starter, Mr D. Donovan. Committee, Messrs. C H. Spinley, Jas. Hand, A. McAdam, G. Murray W. Reyland, J. Downer, W. B. Card, G. Willis, L. McLeod, Tui McEwin W. A. Laird, F. Tucker, J. Simcock, H. Coulter, with power to add to their number, and all office bearers ex-officio. Joint secretaries, Messrs H. J. Sumner and R. Screaton. i

COMMITTEE MEETING A committee meeting of the Club was held on Monday evening. Present : Messrs E. H. Cucksey (president), G. Murray, Jas. Hand, W. Reyland, W. A. Laird, G. Willis, H. Coulter, A. Me Adam, J. Downer, W. B. Card and H. J. Sumner. It was resolved that the programme of sports be the same as last year with the deletion of the relay race, for which a mile handicap of £7 was added. It was also decided to add a third prize for the 440 handicap. It was resolved that the usual dance be held on the evening of the sports. It was decided that the preparation of the grounds be left in the hands of Mr J. Downer.

The Secretaries were instructed to apply for use of ground, order teats, and forward affiliation fee to the N.Z. Athletic Union, and secure hall for dance.

It was resolved that all printing be done locally.

The members subscription fee was fixed at 3s.

It was decided to call for tenders for sole rights for refreshment booth on the ground.

The next committee meeting will be held on Friday evening.
