The Tug Sterling.

The tug "Sterling," the last local asset of the Kaipara S.S. Co., Ltd., in liquidation, has been sold to Mr Andrew Ddlton, of Sydney. The vessel got her clearance papers last Fri • day and was piloted clear of the heads* by Captain T, Ross, who handed her over to Captain Stenbeck who is in charge of the small vessel for the run across to Sydney. Mr. Schmidt is in charge of the engine department and Mr Campbell mate. She also carries a second engineer, two stokers, two able seamen, and a cook. It is expected that she will do the trip in about a week, weather and other conditions being favourable. The Sterling is to be used in Sydney harbour as a tug boat. The Sterling crossed the bar at 6.60 a.m. on Monday.
