OBITUARY.

MES BALLANS.

The death is announced of Mrs Ballans, aged 65 years. She passed to rest on the 13th December at Sydney. The late Mr and Mrs Ballans were for many years residents of Helensville, and will be remembered by mo3t of the older residents of this place. The deceased, in her active life and kind~ ness, was always ready to give assist tance if needed, at the sick bed of her fellows. She leaves one son, Mr W, Ballans, of Geelong, and four daughters, Mrs Grrigg, of Sydney : Mrs W. Grieg, of Auckland ; Mrs T,' Wallace, ofßuawai; and Mrs. A. Becroft, of Helensville, to mourn their lose.
