The Woodhill team,.whichwas a.strong one, comprised the following players: Messrs Pengelly, Wilson, Roberts, Osborne, Osbaldiston, Ta'rrant, McDonald, aiid Miss Thomas. The Woodhill team played well up.to form, and it is very hard to individualise any player for particular credit. Mr Roberts was the star of the "visiting team, and his volleying and placing was the feature of the match. Miss Thorn.as also deserves credit for her fine showing in both the ladies' singles and mixed doubles. Following is a list of the games, the Waimauku names being placed first: — Singles. Radford v. Wilson, 6—3. Radford v. Roberts, I—6.1 —6. • Brett v. Roberts, 2—6. Watts v. Osborne, 2--6. Henry v. Pengelly, 2 —6. Henry v. T arrant, 6 —l. Miss White v. s Miss Thomas, 4—6. Doubles. Brett and Radford v. Wilson and Pengelly, 5 —6. Brett and Radford v. Osborne and Roberts, 5 —6. Brett and Radford v. Wilson and Pengelly, 6 —5. Lambert and Henry v. Osborne and Roberts, 3 —6. Lambert and Brett v. Osborne and Roberts, 4 —6. Watts and Henry v. McDonald I and Distort, 5 —6. Radford and Mrs Taylor v. Osborne and Miss Thomas, 6—5. Woodhill thus won by 10 sets to 4, or by 17 games. We hope before Christmas to entertain the Waimauku team at our new courts.
