HELENSVILLE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the above was held on Saturday evening last, when there was a good attendance. The President, Mr C. H. Spinley, being in the chair. Messrs D. Farrell, J. Nicholls, VV. Ellett, Jas. Archibald, P. Dye, and R. Mackie, were appointed as stewards to weigh and take samples of miJk from the 23 cow s entered for the Class for best cow to be judged by miJk test. It was decided that the Stewards watch the cows milked dry on Tuesday evening, and 13 hours later, Wednesday morning, the cows were to be watched while milked and the milk weighed and samples taken for testing • Following are the entries :—R. Hoe, Woodhill, 2 cows ; Jas, J\rcAdaui(?, 2 ; Jas. Hand, I ; B. McCathy, 4 ; Mrs J. Bradly, 1 ; Jas, McLeod, I ; R. Barnes, 1 ; W. L. Movie, 1 ; R, Ait. kenhead, 2 ; E. Nicholls, 1 ; Jas. Drinnan, t ; A. J. Bradly. 2 ; D. Reunie 2; 0. Russell, I ; H, B. Bradly, 1. (Result of competition will be published in next issue.) A letter was read from Mr A. Smith, sf the N.Z. Farmers' Association stating that arrangements had been made for the deputation re Chair of A°ri« culture, Auckland Province, to meet the Premier in Auckland on Wodncs^ day, 20th inst, and asking- that the Association's delegates be present. Messrs J. C. Ri miner and J. A. Wilsod, delegates, will attend. Letter from Kaipara Chamber of Commerco asking the Association's co-operatiou:in making a large display, in the North Auckland Court at the* forthcoming Auckland Exliihition. It _ was decided that the Secretary write for further information, and the matter be referred to at next meeting. A letter from the Town Board re renting small seotion for Borough Pound, It was decided to offer, ttie Board a pieco of ground near the Bridge, for an annual rental of 30s It was decided to hold a meeting of the General Committee nest Saturday for the purpsse of appointing judges and stewards at the forthcoming show.
