WAIMAUKU.
(A Correspondent.) The first annual meeting- in i.;onneotion with-the Coronation Hall was held on Tuesday Nov ,sth. when there •was a good attendance of residents. The balance sheet showed a very satisfactory state of affairs, for although the committee had only been in office about 10 months they were able to show that thej had reduced, the debt something like £43, the debit balance now being about £48. Two of the retiring members of the Committee, viz Messrs Hadfqrd and Pivott were re-elected, and Messrs1 Brett aud were elected (to make up * _vo required number. Votes of thanks to tht| ladies of the district for the help rendered at the entertainment and to the chairman (Mr Griffin) concluded the meeting. The work in connection with' the overland Cablo is in full swing Mr Forrest (the contractor) hop.es to have the work completed in about six weeks time. Tennis enthusiasts are getting as much practise as they can in anticipation of a match with Helensville players whom they are most anxious to meet, a match, between Woodhill and Waimauku is arranged for Thursday next 14th, at Waimauku.
