SHOOTING

On Saturday next the Helensville Cadet Detachment will journey to Mt. Albert, to try conclusions with the Point Chevalier and Avondalo Schools. when it is hoped they may atone for their defeat last month. The team will be as follows :—Sergt. .T. Monk. Corp. It. Spinloy. Lnco-Corp. F. Scott, Privates J. Masters, E. Eames, V. White, 0. Bradly, V. Anderson, C. Cullen, and either Gr. Constable or C. Carleton. The two latter will fire off for last place on Thursday. It is a matter .for regret that one of Jast month's team. Private L. Scott, will be unable to accompany the team, being still in hospital. In addition to the team, all boys who assisted in enter» taining Point Chevalier and Avondale schools will be invited to make the trip. Class-firing has already commenced, and so far four marksrren's badges have been earned.
