BOWLING CLUB.

A meeting of the above club was held on Saturday evening, The collectors reported that they had in hand and promised over L 8 towards entertaining visiting bowlers at the opening of the green on the 7th November-

The Secretary reported that lie had received word from the HelensviHe School Committee that the school children would have a half-holiday on the opening day. A letter was read from Mr G. Jackson, Auckland, stating that it was probable that over 100 bowlers would attend the opening. Letters were read fron> Messrs J. Gr. Coates and Dickson, M.P.'s accepting invitations to be present at the cere* mony.

It waa stated that ample provision would be made for the conveyance of visitors to the Springs. The Chair-, man hoped that all owning vehicles would assist.
