CASE OF DIPTHERIA.
It was with deep regret that the report of the death of Mr Noroross' youngest child from diptheria. on Monday afternoon. The child had only been ailing a few days, from what was taken to be bronchitis, and it was not till Monday morning when the doctor pronounced it as diptheria, but the disease had too strong a hold, and although, Dr Meinlmld did his utmost, the little sufferer passed away about 2 p.m. The parents have the warmest sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. Mr Norcross was away from home at Raupo, at the time, which made the trial of the bereaved mother much harder to bear.
