WELLSFORD.

(A Correspondent.)

Wellsford welcomed the visit of Rev Mr Leach, ,Wesleyan, and Mr F. L Cubitt, lay reader from Helensville, last Sunday. The former held services at Wellsxord at 11 p.m.-, the latter conducting a well attended service at Tauhoa at 11 a.m and at 3 p,m examined Sunday School children on Catechism and the results were most encouraging, for which great credit is due to the energetic superintendent Mr Bernard. At 7 p,m Mr Cubitt h.6ld evening service at WeHsford and the 3iumber present 42 was a very good attendance considering the weather. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new \ricarßev. Merton, who succeeds Eev. Forrester, in charge of the district. The district all round is looking in a prosperous fctate, and already signs aie showing as to what can be done on the great area of gum lands up this way. There is oonsiderably more cream being sent to the Kaijrara Dairy Factory this year than has been sent out of the district previously ; all the stations along the line having a fair share of cream cans coming and going.
