FAREWELL TO REV. E. E. S FORRESTER.

A large number of parishioners of St Matthews' Church, assembled at tho Vicarage on Monday evening to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs Forrester, who will be leaying for Auckland this week. Mr White, the Vicar's Warden, on behalf of those assembled, and also those net able to attend, presented Mr and Mrs Forrester with a cut glass Salad Bowl with silver mountings, also a set of solid silver Entree Dishes. Mr White in making the presentation said they were all sorry that Mr and Mrs Forrester were going, but hoped and wished them every success and happiness in their new work, Mr Forrester in acknowledging the gifts, spoke of the many friends he had made during his term, and he would always think of those kind friends who had been good to his wife and himself, especially those who were present, and others who had helped towards the splendid presents. Three hearty cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Forrester. The rest of the evening was spent with musical items, games etc, the ladies in the end providing refreshments.
