The Biennial Election of the Helensville Town Board, which is also the Domain Board, takes place next Wednesday, the 18th inst., the polling place being the Town Board Office, Bridge Street, and votes can be recorded between 9 a.m! and 6 p.m. The roll, containing 437, has been printed, and can be procured from the Town Clerk. That there is considerable in* terest evinced in the election of 1912, is manifest by the number of nominations received up to closing time at noon to day, there being • ten candidates in the field for the five seats, viz :—Four independents, Messrs A. Becroft, James Hand, J. A. Megson, and J. C. Rimmer; the Chairman of the present Board, Mr J. Stewart; Messrs J. McLeod and J. A. Wilson, membeis of the Board; R. M. Cameron (chairman of a previous Board), Dr. Meinhold. and H. Stanaway (an old Board member. All the candidates are well known and could be relied en to work for progress if elected. Messrs Stewart and McLeod advertise that they will address meetings before the election; the former being billed at Stewart Bros, Sample Rooms on Saturday evening, and the latter at the Forresters' Hall on Tuesday evening. These meetings should be well attended, as their platform or* ation is alway interesting, and it is well known they are not uno animo : therefore all on the Roll should make a point of attending both meetings as each speaker will tell of Town Board matters, past and present, more suo. Others may voice their intentions. Messrs J. Stewart, K. M. Cameron,*,' and Dr. M. Meinhold advertise theirar combined platform. We hope to re*N cord a heavy poll next Wednesdays and will not issue the " Advertiser "'' till 7 o'clock in the evening, so as ttfo be able to give our readers the fu'ilJ result.
