" A Victim of the Mormons." which will form the chief feature 'of the programme at the Foresters Hall to-night is said to be the finest Nordisk long film yet produced. It deals with the pernicious doctrines of the Mormon faith and the way in which foolish members of the gentler sex are gulled by the oily tongue of the deceiver under the guise of religion, It tells in a manner more forcible than the most eloquent rhetoric, the terrible sufferings of charming young lady who was induced to attend a Mormon meeting, and afterwards fell a prey to the subtle spell cast over her by a leader of the sect, but who happily Avas rescued by her fiancee, through the aid of wireless telegraphy, from the clutches of these vampires before her fair reputation, was sullied. From the first; inch down to the 4000 feet to which the story runs, it is just one long series of sensational scenes and episodes which thrill the onlooker, ana for the time transport him from before the screen into the scene that is being enacted, and cause him to believe himself one of the .participants in the situations that he is witnessing. From acting to reality is, we know, a far stretch but of such a stirring nature is this drama, that it is by no means difficult to imagine that the story portrayed is an episode in real life being enacted before one's own eyes, The plot has the dual advantage of being both novel and strong and the photographic quality is ! Another drama '• Her Real Mate," tells the story of how Jennette reject" ed her doctor lover to throw in her lot j with a band of gypsies, who force her to help in shady doings, much to her disgust. Finally she is rescued by her"" Eeal Mate." " A Sister's Love'" unfolds a thrilling touching story. <l The Sacred Hcarat " is a fine educat- ; ional subject, N and novelty, comedy'j and topical films complete a first class programme.
