New Zealand Sports Protection League.
It lias been predicted that the greatest fighting orgauisatian yet formed in the DoniiuioD is the New Zealand Sports Protection League— a federation of sportsmen followers and supporters of sport, the policy and magnitude of whicli must appeal to even to the dullest imagination. In the forefont of the League is a Board of Control consisting o f Sir George Clifford, Hon. Dr. Collins, M, L C Messrs. H. D, BellK. C., C, P. Sker* rett. K. C. and Mr J. H. B. Coates, gentlemen who each have made thei&g marks in their respective calling and^ whose name stand for moderation and justice. It is not difficult to conceive the influence the League is going to exercise in the near future. For years past the liberal minded section of the community have been protesting individually against the extreme aggrossiou because they knew and felt that if allowed to continue to work in their og^ way without opposition the extr^H| would have the majority ac^^^^^^H to their desires.
