SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

Last week end while Messrs Buckland, T, Crammond and W. Bishop, were out looking for big pigs at South Head, Mr Bishop met with a nasty accident. It appears that while the party were on the hills, having a rest and examining their guns, Mr Crammond's rifle accidentally qx> ploded, the bullet going through Mr Bishop's inscep. On Sunday evening the Tuirangi was hailed as she was passing* on her way to Helensville and Captain Sellers kindly waited to bring the injured man to the Helens* ville Private Hospital where he was attended to by Dr Meinhold, being conveyed to that institution on a stretcher procured by Mr J. White. The sufferer is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.
