Amalgamated, Society of Railway Servants.

At a meeting of the Helensville Branchof the Ainalgniated Society of Eailway Servants held on Monday the 29th July. The following resolution was carried unanaraously :— " That this branch strongly resents the Governments' prop to import a railway expert to take the place of the present Generai rnanagei when he retires. We are fully convinced that a suitable man could easily be found in the service to admirably fill this posn ition if only given the opportunity." The Secretary was instructed by the meeting to forward the resolution to the Minister of Railways (Hon. W, H. Herries).
