There was a good attendance of buyers at the Dairy sale at Maungaturoto ou Saturday 20th, when 205 very choice cows and lielfers were sold.
First class Jersey cross Dairy Cows made from £10 to £15 ; other cows more backward, £5 to £9 ; Jersey cross hoifers £8 to £l 4 2s6d; short horns £5 5s to £3 16& ;
At the Helensville monthly Sale yesterday a fair yarding and a good attendance of buyers. Best cows made up to £10 ; Culls and more backward sorts £4 5s to £6 15s ; heifers, best from £6 to £7 12s 6d ; IS month to 2 year steers £3 14a to £4 2? ; bulls £3 10s to £5 ;Beef cows £5 15s to £6 7s 6d; Horses sold for £2 10s to £10
A sale of a choice head of 70 Ayrshire Cross Dairy Cows and 30 heifera will bo offered at Maungaturoto on August 17th on account of Dr, Mountaiue who is giving up dairying. During the month there has been a keen demand for store steers, beef and mutton.
