KAIPARA CO.-OP. DAIRY CO., LTD
The first Annual Meeting of the above was held in the Foresters' Hall on Wednesday, July 17th. There were about 50 shareholders present. Mr C. Thomson in the chair. There was fifteen outside farmers present who attended on the invitation of the Directors. The minutes of the previous general meeting were read and confirmed. A bonus of £20 was granted to the Manager (A. J. Garry), and £6 to his assistant (E. Garry). It was resolved that the report with amendments be adopted. The retiring directors, Messrs C. Thomson, J. H. Hudson, and J. C. Rimmer, were re-elected. Mr H. White, Junr., was reelected Auditor at a salary of £15/15 per annum. Mr C. Dibble moved, and Mr Peterson seconded, " That a vote of thanks be accorded the Directors, Manager, Secretary, and assistants for the manner in which they had carried out their duties." —Carried unanimously. A resolution put to the meeting " That this meeting recommend to the Directors the starting of a Dairy Cow-Testing Association," was after a good deal of discussion, lost on the show of hands. Directors' Meeting. A meeting of Directors was held afterwards, when Mr Thomson was re-elected Chairman of Directors. The business in connection with the enlarging of the plant to meet the increased supply expected for the coming season was discussed at some length, and several improvements were decided on. to hand so Xii; I promise a very large increase -p, ! the output for the coming seas ■ ;■> I and it has been found necessa;. 1 to increase t.liefplant so as to copo 1 with the new supply. !
