MINIATURE SHOOTING RANGE.

The HelensTille Cadet Detachment, which now numbers 33, commenced rifle practise at the xange on Friday and Saturdaylast, when there was some good shooting. These practises will be continued at intervals throughout the remainder of the year. Amongst those firing last week several new recruits showed up well, and the instructor (Lieut. J. H. Harvey) hopes to have a good team to fire for the school in several matches to be arranged with outside schools during the year. There will be a practise match between Helensville and Te Pua -schools in about a month's time.
