During the month of May the Government are throwing open 12,855 acres of Crown lands for selection liudor tho various tenures of the Lands for Settlement Act. In the Auckland province there are ten sections for application for cash, for occupation with right of" purchase or for renewable lease, five of which, comprising some 1,742 acres at prices ranging from £-10 ■to £760 per section, are in tho Iverikeri, Waitoa, and Pirongia survey districts and Makura Parish. Four, totalling 243 acres, are Waiheke Island, and. one of 50 acres is iv the Mangamuka survey district. There are also four sections of National Endowment land .for renewable lease, three of second-class in the Takahue and.Otanowainuku survey district and Maramarua Parish, and one of thirdclass in the Kaitikati survey district. Applications for those sections close on May 27. A suburban section in Auckland of 1 aero 82 perches will te sold by public auction on May 31 at an upset price of £120,
