The veal pons were well filled, and sold at high rates. Heavy vealers cold at from L 3 3s to L 5 12s, medium sorts L 2 to L 2 153, lighter LI 5s to Ll 12s, smaller and fresh dropped, 3s to los. Sheep came forward in average numbers and showed no improvement in price. Best wethers sold at from 178 to 19s, otheis 14s 9d to 16s 9d ; ewes, iOuto 143 od. Lambs were in short supply and sold at late rate.s Pigs camo forward in large numbers, and sold at late quotations. Bacon era L 3 3s to L 3 16s; large porkeis, L 2 10s to L 2 17s 6d ; poikers, Ll 10s to 1/2 sa ; slips, 20s to tsOa; weaners, 8s to 14s 6d.
