KAIWAKA.

The Kaiwaka Annual Sports were held on Easter Monday, tinder perfect •weather conditions, although the escape was a narrow one, the previous and succeeding days being wet. Every event was well contested ; the en-* tries were very satisfactory, every event going off to time, and the full programme, with, an extra, was put through m daylight, showing skillful management, the whole being really a credit to tiie* officers and committee. The committee will again carry forward a considerable surplus.

A really good conceit was held in the evening, Piper Campbell, from the "Works," easily taking first place, but the other performers had a good reception also, judging from the en~ cores they had to respond to.
