PORT ALBERT SHOW.

The concert held in connection with the Port Albert Show was one of the best ever heard in the district. Mr Ripley. Miss Letitia Gardner, and Mr 0. E. Farrow were heard to advantage in their several items.
Following was the programme submitted :

Gardner ; Humorous Recital: Mr Blandford (recalled) ; Song: " Oft m the Stilly Night "Mr A. Ripley (recalled); Song Mrs Bellini (recalled); Song : " Violets bring thoughts b'f you " Miss Gardner ; Humorous selection : Mr Blandford; Piano Solo: Miss Verena Becroft; Song : " Ritonello "Mr Ripley; Humorous selection : Mr Blacdford (recalled) ; Duet: <c Nocturne " Miss Gardner and Mr Farrow ; Song: Mrs Bellini ; Song : " Rip van Winkle " Mr 0 % E. Farrow ; Huinerous selection : Mr Blandford (recalled); Duet: " A Night in Venice " Miss Gardner and Mr A. Ripley, (recalled). During the interval Mr Mock and Mr Dye delivered short speeches in praise of the Show.
The concert closed with ' < God Save the King."
The Show on the wholewas undoubtedly the most successful ever held in Port Albert. All those who are in-* ter C 3ted in the welfarq of the Show will be pleased to hear that there will be a substantial credit balance.

Messrs Alfred Buckiand and , Sons reports — At cur weekly Westfield fat atOok tnaiket on Wednesday, .February 28, the beef pens contained 414 head, and all of excellent quality. Ther6 was a firm demand throughout at late quotutions. Clxcice ox to Ll 6s, ordinary Ll 3s to Ll 5s ; cow and heifer, 19s to Ll Is; steers ranged iv price from L 6 10s to Ll2 ; cows and heifers, L 4 to L 9 15s (the latter price was obtained for a cow of Mr W. Vosper, Cambridge). Fat and. young calves in short supply. Choice suckers sold at advanced rates, Runners, L 3 10s to L 6, choice medium muckers L 2 to L 3, lighter Ll 5s to Ll 18s; small and fresh dropped, 3a to !8s (4i) sold). Pat sheep were penned in less tisau average numbers. There was an improved demand, at prices, which were from Is to Is6diu advance of la3t report. Choice heavy wethers 18s 9d to 19s 9d, medium 17s to 18s (id, medium and Jight 12s Gd to 16.s Gd, bast weighty ewes 14s Gd to lbs others 9s to 13s Gd (1458 sold). As regards quality, the ) aiding of lambs was best we have had for several weeks. Best heavy 15s to 17s. lighter 13s to 14s 6d, buiall H's od to' ltts Gd; uufinished, 6s Gd to 10s; bhorn, 5s to Gs 9d (709 sold). An average entry of pigs sold tindfr keen competition at ruliug high rates. Bacouei s, L 2 15s to L 3 13s; large porkers L 2 os to L 2 12s, lighter LlU's to L2' oh; slips, 15s to 18s; Veauwa, lOdto 13s;i5G soli).
