Wellington, This Day. There were large crowds inside and outside of the House last evening waiting the result of the No-confidence struggle.

The division took place at 11.55 last night, and resulted in 39 voting for each party.

Atmore and Robertson voting with the Government.

The Speaker, according to practice, gave his casting vote' for the Government, who therefore retain office.

Coates, as calculated, voted against amendment for Government.

Massey and Premier made brief addresses to the House, which adjourned at 12.15 this morning, until 2.30 p.m. on Thursday. • Bribery Allegation Committee sat yesterday and adjourned until this morning.

At the conclusion of the no-con-fidence debate yesterday, with the exception of Fisher, all Liberals spoke to a silent house, no interjections or quibbles being made by Opposition.
