HELENSVILLE LAWN TENNIS CLUB.

A meeting was held in the Forrester's Hall on Friday last the 23rd inst., convened by Mr W. Sandin re forming a Lawn Tennis Club. There was a fairly good attendance, considering the short notice given the meeting. Those present were Mrs Sherriff, Misses M. Rimmer, B. Stanaway, O. Foster, F. Donovan, H. Foster, Capt. Hammond, Messrs J. C. Rimmer, W. Allen, Harvey, H. Langrish, C. Wilson, F. Pengelly, W. Sandin, and W. Lauder. \

Capt. Hammond was voted to the. Chair.

Mr W. Allen was unanimously elected Secretary and Treasurer. It was resolved that a Club be formed in Helensville, to be called Thei Helensville Lawn Tennis Club.

Election of office-bearers for the year :—Patron, Mr Daniel Stewart; President—Capt. Hammond ; Vice Presidents— Dr Meinhold, Messrs J. A. Wilson, Jas. Stewart, J. H. Woodhouse, E. S. Masters, T. McEwin, J. L. Stewart, E. J. R. Smith, A. J. Hill, C. Ansell, G. Wharton, C. Rawson, Capt. Sellars, H. Stringer, J. E Pagei W. H. Cullens, C, Sandin, Jas. McLeod, and W. Laird. Committee—Capt. Hammond, (president), Messrs W. Allen (Sec. and Treas.), J. C. Rimmer, Harvey, C. Wilson W. Sandin, H. Lahgrish,. W. Lauder, andF. Pengelly. A meeting of the committee took place on Monday evening.
