Own CoiißEsroxuEtfT.) The arrangements for the Port Albert Show to be held on Friday, February 23 r d, are now well in hand. From present appearances the 1912 Show bids fair to outclass all previous shows. The Show is on a better financial standing than it has ever been. The - committee are erecting a miniature Rifle range on the grounds ; a prize of £1 has been offered, 7 shots, Is entrance fee. It has been decided to have a fruit and Refreshment Stall on the grounds. The concert will be on a grander scale than formerly. The committee have been successful in engaging the best New Zealand talent, including Miss Gardner, winner of three soprano solos, and gold medal best lady vocalist, Auckland Competitions 1912, Mr O. E. Farrow, winner bass and baritone solo, and gold medal best gentleman vocalist, New Zealand competitions, Wellington 10.1.2, Mr Arthur 11. Ripley, winner tenor solo 1910-11, and gold medal best gentleman vocalist, Auckland competitions 1912, Mrs Bellini, winner soprano solo, Waikato competitions, 1910, and Mr gante Woods, winner gentlemen's humorous selection, Auckland and Wellington, 1912- With such a combination as this the public can rely upon one of the best concerts ever heard in Port Albert.
The Sports' Committee have thoroughly revised the sports section making several alterations and improvements, The sports commence at 13 sharp. Favoured with a fine day, the Show will undoubtedly prove the best and most attractive ever held in the district.
