PARKHURST SCHOOL PICNIC.
The annual Picnic in connection with the Parkhurst School was held on Thursday last in Mr Archibald's paddock when there was a good attendance of parents and children, of the 80hj6ol, and the whole district was •wip represented. Mr E. Nicholls Ifltfptrman of the school Committee) ijjjki'al the entrance gate and extended SlWchal welcome to allcomers, and didlds best, with the assistance of the other members of the committee to make the days outing an enjoyable one which it undoubtedly was. -An number of well contested races were run, both children and adults taking, and the usual picnic games were indulged in with great spirit by ■alii; Following are the results of the different races: — .
