SHOOTING.
La?t Saturday a detachment of the Helensville Cadets visited Mt. Albfrc for the purpose of firing a tria'igukr match v. Avondale and Pt. Chevalier Schools. Our team had no difficult/ in beating both their opponents, but it was a matter for regret that the Pt. Chevalier team was considerably weak ened owing to a counter attraction in the shape of a Sunday Scho -1 picnic. Some excellent scores were vmt up, notably those of Ptes. O. Bradly (30), and 0. Monk ;27) for Holendvillf, Sergt. E. Bill (26) for Pt. Chevalier, and Col-Sergt. Tarlin (24) for Avondalr. Seven shots only were fired apiece, the possible therefore being 35..
