Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, I Report. On Wednesday, at our weekly Westfield fat stock market, the beef pens contained 332 head. There was an improved demand, with an advance of 10s to 15s a head. Choice ox sold to LI 10s; ordinary Ll ss.to Ll 8s; cow and heifer. Ll 2s to Ll 6s. Steers ranged in price from L 7 10s to Ll4 ; cows and heifers. L - 10s to LlO 12s 6d. The 69 veal calves were slightly better worth. Hunners. •L 3 10s to L 4 15s ; choice snckers, Ll 10s to L 2 18s ; lighter 18s to Ll 6s ; fresh dropped 3s to 7s. There was again a heavy'yarding of fat sheep, and only a moderate demand. Values were easier for all descriptions. Extra heavy woolly wethers, Ll 8s 9d to Ll 6s ; shorn 19s to Ll Is 6d (a small pen of extra weight and quality, Ll 4s 3d); medium to heavy shorn, 15s 9d to 18s 6d ; light, 13s 6d to 14s 6d ; best shorn ewes, 15s to ISs; others 8s to 14s (1988 sold). LamLs came forward in large numbers, and consequently suffered with a big drop in price. Best heavy, 15s to 17s 3d ; others l?s to 14s 6d ; small. 7s 3d to 12s 6d (938 sold). Pigs formed an average entry, Competition was keen, and extreme values continue to rule. Baconers, L 2 18? to L 3 19s; large porkers, L 2 6 to L 2 14s -lighter, Ll 8s> to L? 2s; slips ] 8s to Ll 3s ; well-bred weaners, 14s to 17s; others 10s to 13s (125 sold),
