SHOOTING MATCH

HELENSVILLE v. TE PUA.

A shooting match on a miniature range was held at the Helensville School on Saturday last by teams of 5 a-side from the above schools, members of the Helensville Gadet Detachment, under the instructor, Mr Harvey, Headmaster of Te Pua School, and resulted in a win for the visiting squad by 18 ; Te Pua scoring 194, and Helensville 176. For the winners, Pte. R Spinley fired well, making 46 out of a possible 50, his score, which ran as follows : 4, 5, 5, 5, 5; 5 4, 4, 5, 4, showing consistent shooting. Corp. W. Ross came next with 43. For the losers, Lc.-Corp. R. Caundle was top score with 42. Pte. Ferrall (Parkhurst) a member of the Te Pua team, who had to stand out on account of the absence of one of the Helensville team, also fired making 41. Following are the scores: — HELENSVILLE Lce.-Cpl.
