PICTURES IN THE OPEN AIR. Thursday next will be a red letter day as far as the no-license workers of Hel-
r--'v ensville are concerned. On that day two fc^i^mpbrtant representatives .of the prohibi1^ tion movement will visit this-town and •?■•€'addresfe two meetings. j%£?7 The first is Mrs Harrison Lee Cowie ; r^-she is a lady, of exceptional ability. As a 7 speaker she has a unique record of success ; she is acknowledged in America, Great Britain, Australia, on the Continent, and also in the Dominion, all of which places she has visited, as being on eloquent, orator, a encyclopedia of fact, a charming personality and a real friend to - all who are in distress. Mr Wesley Spragg, the head of the Nolicense" party in N.Z., as president of the Alliance, will preside and also address the meetings
|-In.the Foresters' Hall, at 3 p.m., a conference of workers will be held. Mrs Cowie will speak on Enthusiasm, Equipment and' Enterprise, and Mr King, the
organiser, will speak on " How to organise to win."". The President will also give a "-Talk to the workers."- Representatives from- the various surrounding districts will attend the conference. At 8 o'clock at • night a Public Meeting will-beheld in the same hall-when Mrs
Cowie. will |deliver an address entitled /■"Our national Fight for Freedom from Alcohol; 1? > » - - • •
• - Miss Alice Rimmer, the brilliant soloist will contribute songs at both meeting. • Previous to the evening meeting Mr King will -give -an exhibition of pictures outside the Hall, commencing at 7-30. These pictures have been 'specially prepared and illustrate some of the arguments advanced by the No-license workers, in -advocacy of their proposals. Mr King has held highly successful meetings at . Riverhead, Taupaki-Kumeu, Waimauku and Woodhill during the week.
