i, S£: ~ This question has to be decided by the ratepayers on- Thursday, 21st in " the matter of. a loan of £10,000 that is " required to carry out the necessary work to place our Town in a more sanitary state, which is-of great importance. The drainage has been a problem of the past' ' Town boards who had not power to raise sufficient to do any good to the town and every year the drainage is becoming. more serious, and if the votes are not irivren m favour of the loan the Health Department will have to take" the matter in ; hand at the ratepayers\expense, for this insanitary, state cannot continue. If carried, the first cost to the ratepayers will - be to fit up patent sanitary arrangements ' anda portion of 4in. drain, which will only: be the^cost.of a four years 1 night soil se? vice which will beforced on the to^n all - then we shall have to deal with the drain- ' age.. The cost of bringing the wateraW; the place will be extra "taxation," which ' wil be relieved by dispensing witlT cost '
