DAY-RUSSELL.
A double wedding of local interest was solemnised on Tuesday last, 12th inst,, at Paneka, the residence of the brides' parents, when the Misses M. H. and E. E. Eussell were joined in matrimony to Messrs M. McArthur, and E. W. Day respectively. The brides were becomingly attired in travelling costumes. Miss M. Russell's being a-pale blue cloth, while Miss E, .Russell's was a pale Javendar cloth ; both wore pretty white velvet hats^ The bridesmaids, Misses Annie and Eileen Eussell (sisters of the brides), wore pretty white embroidered muslin dresses with hats to match, they also wore gold neckchains with greenstone hearts suspended, the gifts of the bridegrooms. . Messrs 0. A. Eussell and J. Bradly acted as groomsmen, The'Eev." E. E, S.'Fbrrester officiated at the ceremony, after which a large number of relatives and friends, numbering about 70, sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast, ax which the customary toasts were hon~ oured.

Eussel], "brown lustre ; Mrs H. Bradly, navy blue costume; Mrs J. Vercoe, cream silk blouse, black skirt; Mrs Moyle, blue linen costume, Mrs OsHldis'.ou, cream blouse, black skirt; Mrs McLaren, heliotrope cioth ; Missus A. Bradly, crean? voile blouse . black skirt; Day, brown voile; H; 'Bradly, pale blue blouse, black skirt; To^d Bradly white blouse, black skirt; E. Veicoe, brown lustre; T. The liappy couples left by the evening train on their honeymoons, amidat showers of.ricejiud good wishes from their many friends. In the evening the young people assembled at the residence of Mr and Mrs Eussol), and spent a very enjoyable timein dancing till the early hours of the morn.
