SOCIAL.

A Social in aid of the Church of England in Helensville was held in the Foresters' Hall on Friday July 14; The musical part of the programme was sontributed by the following iadies and gentlemen — Miss Little, Mrs Sellars,' Miss Lily Caundle, Mrs Hmghes, Miss Donovan, Mr White and the "Vicar, After light refreshments which were geneiously provided hj ladies of the congregation, tliose present, who were young enough, and merry enough, Retook themselves with zest to the pleasures of the light fantastic Dance. Mr W. Sandin kindly acted as M. C.

1 here was a large number present and all appeared to enjoy themselves whole- heartedly. The evening was a yreat success, and many thanks are due to those who kindly helped to' make it so.
