The intercolonial cricket match was concluded to-day. The New South Wales team in their second innings made 363. M'Donnell contributed 239, caught. The Victorian team were all out in the second innings for 138, the visitors thus winning the match by 184 runs. [united press association.] NELSON V. WELLINGTON. Wellington, December 29. In the cricket match, Nelson v. Wellington, the former made 170—Bennett, 52 ; Cooke, 34 ; Ford, 30 : Hodder, 12. Wellington, 99 and 133 for 8 wicketsMotley, 18 and 51 not out; Heenan, 22 and 16; Dryden, 19; Hall, 17; Moorhouse, 14. Cooke took live wickets for 27, Richardson three for 13. In the Wellington first innings Creeks and Hoole bowled with most success for Wellington. The game will be finished to-morrow. At present it is greatly in favour of Nelson. December 30. Wellington very unexpectedly won the match with Nelson by 13 runs. The last two men added 21 to Wellington's score, making 154, and leaving Nelson only 84 to get. Motley carried out his bat for 58. On going to the •wickets the visitors were all disposed of for 70. Dryden took seven wickets for 44 runs, and, of the other three, caught one and ran one out by a clever piece of fie ding. The double figures were— Hodder and Ford 11 each, Halliday and Wither 10 each. The wicket played well, and the collapse of Nelson's batting was quite a surprise.
